Just a heads-up: when you’re wiring this into your control loops, make sure your relays can handle the inductive load. You don’t want to deal with contact pitting later on. Why carbon fiber? Here’s the thing about carbon fiber: it handles the “stretch and shrink” of heating and cooling much better than tungsten. But, there is a catch. Carbon filaments are a bit more fragile than those heavy ceramic heaters. They hate being shaken. If your machine frame is wobbly or vibrates a lot, the filament will snap.
