Instead of using the usual tungsten filaments, we went with carbon fiber. It changes how the energy hits your target, pushing it into mid-to-far infrared waves. Basically, it’s a more efficient way to get things hot. The power side of things At 220V and 2000W, these things pack a punch. They put out a massive amount of heat per inch. But here’s the thing: you’ve got to make sure your wiring can actually handle it. If your power supply isn’t up to the task, you’re going to see overheating at the terminals. We designed these to hit top temperature fast, which is great for your cycle times. Just a heads-up—if you’re wiring a whole bunch of these into one bank, keep an eye on your breakers. That initial surge can be enough to trip a sensitive circuit. Why carbon fiber? Inside that high-purity quartz envelope is a carbon fiber filament. The reason we use it is simple: it can take much higher temperatures than metal before it snaps. That means you can push the lamp harder without worrying it’ll pop. Plus, carbon fiber handles “thermal shock” way better than halogen options. You can flip these on and off repeatedly, and they’ll keep on ticking. Getting them into your workflow You’ll mostly see these in PET blowing machines, paint drying lines, or plastic welding stations. Since they’re 2000W, they usually slide right into most medium-sized industrial ovens as a replacement for old, tired heating elements. One last thing… Because these get so incredibly hot, any flammable gunk or debris nearby is a risk. Keep the quartz tube spotless. If dust or oil splashes get on the glass, they create “hot spots” that can actually crack the tube. When you’re doing maintenance, just grab a lint-free cloth and some isopropyl alcohol and wipe them down. Simple as that.
