
Let’s talk about the 640mm 2600W Carbon Fiber Lamp
We built this lamp for one reason: to get things dry and cured fast. If you’re dealing with industrial drying, you know the pain of waiting around for equipment to heat up. This 2600W unit is basically a shortcut.
The power and the fit
At 640mm, it’s a great size. It usually slides right into most standard industrial ovens without you having to rebuild the whole machine. But the real magic is the power. Because the wattage is so high for its size, it ramps up almost instantly. You spend way less time staring at a timer during pre-heating and more time actually getting work done. And we ditched the old tungsten filaments. We went with carbon fiber because it can take the heat. It doesn’t just snap when the temperature swings wildly—it holds up.
Why carbon fiber?
It’s a different beast than your typical halogen tube. The infrared wavelength here actually digs deeper into your materials rather than just scorching the surface. To keep everything safe, we tucked the filament inside a high-purity quartz envelope. This keeps the oxygen away from the fiber so it doesn’t burn out, but it still lets all that IR heat pour right through. It doesn’t just “get hot.” It radiates. You’ll notice it hits its operating temperature way faster than those old metal-element heaters ever did.
A few tips for the install
Before you flip the switch, double-check your power draw. 2600W is a heavy lift. If your voltage isn’t stable, you’ll see flickering, or worse, you’ll burn the lamp out before it even gets a chance to work. One more thing—keep an eye on your airflow. This thing puts out a massive amount of heat. If your housing isn’t vented or your fans are too weak, you might actually warp your chassis. Also, be gentle with the mounting clips. If you put too much pressure on the quartz ends or let the tube bow, it’ll crack. Keep it straight, keep it loose, and the filament will last you a long time.
