What’s Inside Matters
The heart is a carbon fiber filament, tucked inside a quartz envelope. That envelope is filled with halogen gas. Why does that matter? It keeps the filament from oxidizing, and it helps the heater hold steady output—hour after hour, for thousands of them. We also add a specialized coating on the quartz.
