Technical Deep-Dive

Material & Design
Inside, the carbon fiber core is housed in a quartz envelope. We chose quartz because it handles sudden temperature swings like a champ and lets infrared energy pass through cleanly. We also added a halogen gas fill. It helps keep the filament temperature steady and fights off the blackening that can dim output over time. So the lamp stays consistent, shift after shift. Then there’s the R7s base. It’s more than just a connector. It locks in place and carries the load without needing extra brackets. That means it drops right into standard sockets, which saves you time on the install.

Reality Check
High heat density has a trade-off: it asks for solid socket contacts and a clear path to shed heat. If the cooling is cramped, terminals get too hot, and the lamp won’t last as long. Match the socket and mounting to the thermal demands, and you’ll get steady performance without the headache of frequent burnouts.
