Power, Voltage, Size: The Practical Details
These tubes run on 400V and pump out 2500W across a 300mm length. That’s intentional. High voltage keeps current lower, so you lose less in the lines and can pack more power into a short space. The 300mm length gives you a clean heat zone that fits standard machine channels—no need to redesign the whole heating block. And 2500W? It hits setpoints fast. But it also means you have to treat thermal management like a real part of the job. If your machine runs in a tight spot, plan cooling and airflow early so nearby parts don’t bake.
Built to Take the Heat: Halogen, Quartz, and a Reliable Connection
Inside each tube, the carbon fiber element runs hot—and the halogen cycle helps keep it stable by cutting down on deposits on the quartz. The quartz envelope handles rapid on/off cycles better than a lot of other glass options, so performance stays consistent shift after shift. We use an R7s connector because it’s a proven industrial standard for this form factor. It gives you a solid, two-terminal connection that’s quick to wire and holds up when things vibrate.
